Day 261 - 12 Jun 96 - Page 06

do anything, did I, at the fair?
       A. I cannot remember whether you did or not.

  Q. You would have noted that, though?
       A. I would have thought I would have made a note of it at
       the time, yes.

  Q. OK. There is no note there, is there, about that?
       A. Not that I can see.

  Q. Just to note -- I do not know if it was read out -- there
was another sentence in that first place which says: "Most
of the time was again taken up with talking about the
Greenpeace fair and who was doing what at the event." That
is what prompted the question that I asked. That is
       correct, is it, that sentence?
       A. Yes. I am trying to find it.

MR. MORRIS: It is in the middle.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: It is in the middle of the second last
paragraph on page 202. It is about where my lower
       ringbinder is.
       A. Yes, I have it. Yes, that is true.

  MR. MORRIS: Yes.

MS. STEEL: 27th May, what was the purpose -- 27th September,
sorry -- what was the purpose of attending this meeting?
       A. The same purpose as attending any of the other
       meetings.

  Q. You were aware that the writs had been served by then?
       A. No.

  Q. So you were told that writs were going to be served?
       A. Yes.

  Q. But you did not get told that they had been served?
       A. I do not think the company that I was working for had
anything to do with serving the writs, or they had no
       details.

  Q. So, you asked what the writs had been served for. You say
       there:

"Helen Steel told me that Dave and Paul have been served
with writs and that we are taking legal advice. I asked
what the writs had been served for, and she said that it
was done by McDonald's and they (McDonald's) want an
       apology or something."
       A. Yes.

  Q. "She further stated that she was not staying at the meeting
as she was leaving (for destination unknown) the following
day. She was going home to get packed."

That is all correct, is it?
       A. As far as I am aware. That was my impression at the
       time.
