And then there is a list of various documents which appear
to have been -- some that were documents created by
McDonald's and others by anti-McDonald's protestors and
some other people as well, by the looks of things.

In the middle of page 23 or just below the middle it says:

"The subject of the fayre was raised and talked about but
not with any intention of making decisions owing to the
poor attendance at the meeting. John said that there were
very few members participating and to show willing I said I
would think about helping with the organisation of the
creche, this being apparently the one area which had not
already been allocated to any particular member of the
group."

Do you remember anything about this discussion now or
generally how you came to volunteer to do the creche?
A. Yes, I felt that to show that I was willing to
participate in the group activities, I would volunteer to
adopt some role in the coming fayre, but, I mean, I did not
really want to do it but I felt that I had to.

Q. Why did you feel that you had to?
A. Well, I did not want anybody to be suspicious about me
and my circumstances, and to show that I was willing to
participate in group activities I volunteered to take some
participation in the coming event.

Q. Right.
A. I think that area of the creche, nobody else had
volunteered to do that, so I put my name forward to do it.
It was not so much allocation, as I have said in my notes
here, as people actually volunteering to take specific
areas of responsibility.

Q. You said that John said that there were very few members
participating. What was your impression about the
organisation of the fayre?
A. My impression was that it was proving very difficult to
get the thing together, to get the whole organisation of it
moving forward. There was not a lot of inspiration you
know, that sort of thing.

Q. "At 9.30 p.m. Jonathan left and said he had to go, said he
had a long journey home. For the next hour little else was
discussed and we just sat and read leaflets and circulars
from other organisations, topics of which include animal
liberation and talks on what to do about the Gulf crisis.
A periodical named Peace News, a copy of which is
enclosed."

If there had been anything about McDonald's, would you have
made a note of it?
A. Yes, I would have done.

Q. "At 10.30 the meeting closed but there was no move to the
pub as was the usual practice. John excused himself saying
