Day 272 - 02 Jul 96 - Page 21

       A. It says here she prepared a poster.

  Q. Right. What else do you remember about Shellie's
       involvement in the group --
       A. Well --

  Q. -- and any other activities?
       A. Well, like I said, she was a very lively, friendly
person and she immediately started talking, you know, got
talking to us and started coming to meetings. She
volunteered to help organise the 1990 fayre. I certainly
remember her that year doing announcements from the stage
and helping to coordinate the bits and pieces going on
there. She also very quickly got involved with Hackney and
Islington Animal Rights as well and started going on their
       activities, which included anti-McDonald's demonstrations.
I can remember her being at some of those.

  Q. Did she ever hand out any leaflets?
       A. She did, yes, anti-McDonald's leaflets that we had at
those demonstrations. She also, as I remember, came to the
       October 16th, 199- anti-McDonald's demonstration at the
head office that London Greenpeace organised.

  Q. Do you remember how long or when she stopped coming to
       meetings, London Greenpeace meetings?
       A. It would have been sometime in the spring, I would
say, of 1991. She disappeared quite suddenly.

  Q. How do you remember when she stopped coming?
       A. Well, I have got a very specific recollection of when
she stopped coming, being around, because she actually
phoned me and said that she was going away to Scotland to
do some work and that she would be back, and I am pretty
certain she said around the time of the Cup final. I do
not know why she said that, but that would have made it
sometime in May 1991. By this time I was already friends
with her outside group activities and she was also in a
relationship with Charlie Brook, although I think that was
just in the process of breaking up, but they were certainly
in a relationship for a good few months.

  Q. And you talked about her activity in the group and in
       Hackney and Islington Animal Rights?
       A. Yes.

  Q. How long did that carry on for?
       A. Well, I would say it was almost up to the time she
left. I mean, I would say up to the spring. I cannot give
a definite date but say April of '91.

  Q. Okay. If we just go back to the notes again now. There is
a reference on the second page of her notes saying that
Jane gave a short report on the picket of Nag's Head
McDonald's on 8th September. Do you know who that picket
       was organised by?
       A. Which page is this?

  Q. It is on the second page of the notes of 13th September,
where the number 4 is on the second page. It is just after
