hear in due course in comment, but I need to put it
       somewhere.

MS. STEEL: Can I just ask about No. 1? I mean, obviously when
we asked about the Plaintiff's interrogatories we were told
that if they were to be taken as evidence they had to be, I
don't know what, there was some formality that the
plaintiffs had to apply for them to be taken as evidence.
So I am just wondering about whether or not they should be
there, bearing in mind the plaintiffs have not actually
entered any such sort of formality.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I tell you the reason I have put them there.
I have got them in the pleadings bundle, that is the
interrogatory and the answer, and what I actually did, I
have not looked back at it because I was handed a copy
which was used when you were being cross-examined, I wrote
on to the form of interrogatories the answers which had
been given so that I had them all on one piece of paper.
You need not concern yourself that they are there because I
am taking them as evidence anyway, it is just convenient
that when I come to consider your evidence, of which I will
have a transcript by then, I know where to look for the
       interrogatories.

MS. STEEL: It is just that Mr. Rampton did not ask me about the
       vast majority of them.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: No, I appreciate that.

  MR. RAMPTON: I quite agree.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: They are only of potential relevance insofar
as you gave evidence on parts of them.

  MS. STEEL: Right. Okay.

MR. RAMPTON: That is right. My Lord, can I make a suggestion
for the San Francisco Sunday Examiner, I don't know how fat
pink 16 is but that is the rainforest file and the latest
tab in Mrs Brinley-Codd's index, which is normally up to
date, is 18. I tentatively suggest it might go in as 19 at
the back of that file. I see, I am sorry, that is an
out-of-date index. It would have to be 20, my Lord,
because 19 is our list of US beef suppliers.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Unless there is any comment about that that
       would seem sensible.

MR. MORRIS: For the IMF and McLibel support campaign material,
Helen does not mind that going behind her statement. The
2.123 IMF and McLibel support campaign material.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: What I have suggested is that they go at the
back of pink 1C purely because that has got a number of
leaflets, call them what you will, of one kind or another.

  MR. MORRIS: Pink 1C. Okay.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: And we had got up to -- 227, was the
