If you have created a label which is going to be re-used in other projects, save it as template.
To save a version as template:
1. Open a project you wish to work with. In the Workspace Navigator select a label version you are going to save as template.
2. Do one of the following:
-- Select the Project-->Save Version As Template command from the main menu,
-- Right-click selected item and choose Save Version As Template from the WN shortcut menu.
The Editor displays the Save As dialog like the one shown in the example below.

3. Here in the File name box enter the name of your file with .mvt extension. If you want to change template options click Change. The application displays the Version Template Options dialog. It has two tabs: General and Layout. The General tab allows you to save or assign a thumbnail to the label version. With the help of the Layout tab you can save a text layout of your label.

The items of the General tab have the meaning discussed below.

Build: |

When clicked, clears the preview area. |

Allows you to enter a new theme or select one of the available themes from the combo box. |

4. Change the template options in accordance with description presented above and click OK. The application returns to the Save As dialog. Open the folder with the installed MediaFACE 4.0 version templates (...\<MediaFACE 4.0 install folder>\Settings\Templates\Versions). Specify a file name for saving. Click Save to complete the operation. The version is saved under the specified name as a template.
Note: Exit and restart MediaFACE 4.0 to use the newly created version template. The created version template will appear in The New Project wizard (step 4) as text layout for the label template. For details refer to the section titled Creating Projects.
