Balls of Steel Version 1.1

Sort of Demo: It is a shareware with one rather fully playable table. Too many limits to list them all here, see below.
Grade (full ver.):
System req: Win95 and DirectX x (x=latest possible version)
Size: 13Mb (13,888,512 bytes)
Download:
  • pinballwizards.com

  • Version 1.1 is currently (98-02-14) the latest version of the demo. If you have an older version (v.1.0) check the patches page for a upgrade to v1.1.

Excellent, get it. Lots of limits in the shareware (more demo), but the table is fully enjoyable until the 30th game when it all starts to get irritating. Here is all the stupid limits (imo too many and too stupid).

  • Only one of the five tables are available in the shareware - Darkside.

  • Of the four play modes in the full version, only Tournament is available in this demo. Tournament mode gives three balls per game - the other modes allow up to five balls per game, as well as enabling extra balls, Powerball mode, and end-of-game matching.

  • The more games (games = each time you start the table from the main menu , you can then play as much as you want and quit to the main menu, starting the the table again will count as a another game) you play the more the shareware version will limit itself. The idea is that you shouldn't be allowed to play freely forever. If you like the game - buy it; if you don't - don't play it. The choice is yours to make.

    * After 30 games, you will get only 2 ball per game.
    * After 40 games, posting to WorldScores Internet Rankings will be disabled.
    * After 50 games, you will get only 1 ball per game.
    * After 60 games, you will be forced back to the main menu after each game.

  • You may evalute this shareware for 30 days (no Idea if you can play it after 30 days, I belive so, but I guess that is a license disagreement).
