Explanation of IRC: Most of you probably know what irc is, but for the rest of you it stands for Internet Relay Chat. You log on to an irc server using some irc program, well logged on you can join different (chat) channels and talk to people.
Software Needed: Windows useres are recommend to download mIRC from the
Pinball Nets: Ones you get familiar with IRC you will learn that there are different IRC nets build up of different irc servers. One such net, the so called pinball net, is build up of one server with (usually) only one channel on it, #pinball, it is ofcourse only meant for pinball fans. To get in touch with other pinball fanatics quickly, just connect to
irc.citenet.netand, ofcourse, /join #pinball.
Meeting times on irc.citenet.net:
8:00pm CST (central standard time)Pinball Developers (of real pinballs, extremely seldom you run in to someone from empire or so) sometimes join the chat during these special meeting times. You can connect other times, but during the meeting times there are most people there. The channel is sort of meant for everything related to pinball. Oh and if you join, beware of the haiku (shiver).
