Subject: Re: The 'WIZARD FACTOR'

There is obviously more than one type of pinball enthusiast. Some of us enjoy simple pinball at face value, while others prefer a more complicated pinball that allows them to 'save the galaxy' (through some form of role-playing) while racking up untold billions of points. For them, a couple thousand points at Slick Chick just doesn't quite cut the mustard. It seems they arenÆt having have fun unless they are expressing their superiority over the rest of us mere mortals, because they are the WIZARDS.

Most of the pre-release trashing of MPA appeared to be done by those WIZARDS who should really be confining their comments to real tables, not to sims. They sure did not speak for me.
Instead of comparing MPA to Timeshock!, it would have been far more useful to compare it to Royal Flush or Eight Ball Deluxe by Amtex, since those were ports of real tables.

(BTW: How would these WIZARDS like us to start dumping on their favorite sims? It would only be fair...)

And lest we forget, MPA is supposed to be an ARCADE! If you don't like one of the tables, don't sit and bitch about it, just take your quarters over to the next table and keep on playing!
(Or better yet, why not get out of that dark basement and drive down to the real arcade where you belong?)

MPA far exceeded this humble player's expectations. I only hope the WIZARDSÆ bile didn't destroy our chances at someday seeing MPA 2 or MPA 3!
Heck, even if you HATED one or two of these tables, it's still an unbelievable bargain!
I am confident that MPA sales will overcome the poor welcome it was given by a few.
