Yes timeshock!, the ultimate pinball is out and has been so for a while now (at least in europe, nice it finally was released in the us). I just removed the news page for timeshock! since I hardly update it any more and uploaded this instead.
I recently noticed that the PC Games magazine has arranged a contest for timeshock! It is funny, the pro pinball: the web contest got hardly any publicity (well I did write about it) and now there is a timeshock! contest and nothing on the empire site this time either!!
Anyway, all you need to enter the contest is their (PC Games) demo version of timeshock! (well I guess any demo version will do, just as long as it is v1.07 and 5min/3ball limited).
You can get the demo by downloading it from their page or on the coverdisk for the february issue of the PC Games magazine.
The rules aren't that complex but still they have made a long list. For what I know you just play, get your hiscore code, write it down and enter it in the competition form on the PC Games site. You only get to do one entry though. As usual they aren't clear whetever this is US only or for us in the rest of the world to (like Europe, me). They don't say anywhere in the rules it is only US, but they don't say the opposite either. Guess it can't hurt to send one in... The contest period is on untill 11:59 p.m. PST on February 9, 1998.
The entrant with the highest score wins a Terminator 2 pinball machine. The next 5 highest scores receive a copy of the game, the next 20 get polo shirts and posters are on offer to the next 35 highest scores.

btw. my best in the demo today is 350million, don't think there will be a T2 for me, if I now is allowed in the contest at all since I live in europe...
