21st Century Ltd. had quite a lot planned before they went out of business, the below is a part of it (this article was written before 21st went out of business, so the tempus might be wrong). I doubt we will see any PCK2 in the stores in any near future, maybe 21st Century Inc. takes up on the project or someone else does, who knows.


PCK

Pinball Construction Kit (PCK) is the construction kit that was released by 21st Century a while ago. It has often been disliked because it was so restricted, but it is also one of a few construction kits. It had good sides and bad sides. Lots can be improved with it.

Now 21st is on the way with lots of new things concerning PCK.

• A totally new version
• A patch for the original PCK
• A deluxe version.

  Will be fun to see if the PCK2 (new version) will be improved and if those irritating restrictions will be removed enough to make it possible to construct something original.

21st Century is currently working on a second Pinball Construction Kit. No name has yet been decided so it is just called Pinball Construction Kit 2. Since they have heard a lot that the first PCK was restricted and similar we can only hope that they have learned and will improve it this time. Asking one of the persons at 21st about this I got this answer.

We've taken a lot of stick from people who want much more flexibility but we think it's a bit unfair in the sense that PCK is hugely better then previous attempts at the same sort of thing. If you see this somewhere it is just a re-release of the original PCK at a special price.

There is also a patch for the original PCK on the way. The patch doubles the number of table outlines and extends the libraries concept as well as tidying up some features of the original. This patch will not be free.

A third thing concerning PCK is the PCK Deluxe. It is the original plus the upgrade on one new CD. There are one or two features which work more smoothly in Deluxe than if you had bought the original and then the upgrade.
