Extra large size pinball!
Enormous width! Enormous length! Enormous joy!
A realistic pinball game whose enormous fields are bigger as the screen. On 8 enormous tables, the camera not only follows the movement of the ball in all directions on the two dimensional playing table, but also provides a 3-D view. In a way never experienced before, the camera zooms in on the ball or moves away from it, thereby further intensifying the already fiery atmosphere of the game. You can direct the ball on each field with 8-10 paddles and a numerous bumpers. By performing well on one table, you can move on to conquer another one. The software, which is structured differently from any other made before, will definitely arouse the interest of pinball maniacs.

System requirements: P-100 MHz, 8MB RAM, 1MB SVGA (320*200 Highcolor Mode), SB compatible sound card, DOS 5.0

Cyberball - thoughts

advert - smallDid I sound like I was writing an advert, well that's because the above is an advert (the real one is to the left). The text is from the advert, it is not my opinions about the pinball.

Sadly enough that advert is all I have and know about this pinball. I do have some screenshots of 4 of the 8 tables, but those are also from the advert (scanned in). Haven't seen any reviews or demos for it anywhere yet. But I belive you can order it from cyberstone, see order below.

The pinball do look interesting, well ok no real simulation, but it do look like it could be fun. I'm having Pinball Prelude in mind, the magic, bizarre and still lovely pinball. It had such an immense athmosphere and layout that I couldn't help loving it. The feeling was nothing special, ok I guess, but the pinball really had what I like in a pinball game. Pinball game, those pinballs that use the all advantages of a computer, having things on the table that real ones can't. I short not trying to be a accurate simulation but still a pinball. That's no problem as long as the pinball has a serious level and have a playable and logic theme. Not just millions of stupid and illogical sprites like the 3dup series from Sierra, those had no atmosphere, feeling or theme to talk about.

table 2-1 - Enligthenment - actual sizeThe pinball might be good, maybe it wont be a top scoring one, somehow I am a little sceptic to side and vertical scrolling tables. Judging from the picture to the right (framed part is the actual screen), it scrolls sideways and vertical A Lot! The tables seem to look strange (but so do the prelude tables) but 8-10 flippers, I wonder if that's a good Idea...

Still, it can be good, but I'm uncertain about it.
