November 1997 Editorial Original Publishing Date (y/m/d): 1997-11-01 mm, November!! I got Riven yesterday (which means not much time over for sleep)!!! It is the best, but not a pinball so lets get to that. Well the big pinball release lately was Sierras 3D Ultra Pinball(3): The Lost Continent. But it is no super pinball, the critics on it in usenet has not been top scoring, just that it is ok... very repeatable as the other Sierra titles. Can't say much more since I haven't played the full version yet. Balls of Steel has been delayed again... I hope it gets out soon, that is all I can say about it at the time Otherwise the sky is blue... Electronic Pinball seems to be very, very near getting out. I did a interview with 21st Century recently and I asked a couple of questions about it. Another interesting thing I found out in the interview was when I asked if 21st had any plans to make a pinball in 3D, clip from the answer follows: "in the early part of '98 you'll see that 21st Century haven't been sat on their laurels whilst Empire have been producing TimeShock!" Now that sounds cool! To summary, the expected end-of-the-year pinballs are: Addiction Pinball, Balls of Steel, Electronic Pinball. What a fight! I also send out the PIN #04 recently, if you haven't read it you don't know that a interview with Andreas AXL Axelsson from Digital Illusions was in it. It is really worth reading!! Goodnight Night... wherever you are. |
