April 1998 Editorial Original Publishing Date (y/m/d): 1998-04-01 Squirm! This month certainly looks promising, two awaited releases should occur. One is the new pinball keyboard, called keyflip. It is now stated for release sometime around 14th April. The second is Addiction Pinball. Yes it is true, Addiction is finished and ready to ship. I have no knowledge of the release date or if the release has started, but I'm trying to find out (belive me)!! For those of you who haven't read my comments on the addiction pinball demo I can write that the demo looked promising (even though it was buggy). And a worms table can't go wrong as they say (someone surely does). I'm right now uploading my review of balls of steel, which I gave a 4 in grade. I liked the pinball and felt it was one worth getting. I know I'm late with the review, but the later the better (as they say in the gaming industry)! Talking of late, Douglas Adams (writer of the famous "The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy") had a good saying about that. "Yes, the game is late. The answer is because it's a CD-ROM, and it's an immutable law of the universe that CD-ROMs are six months late.". As I understand it you can replace CD-ROM with whatever you want and you'll have a perfect explanation for any situation. Otherwise I have gotten hold of the silently released 3D Flipper and will write a review of it asap. I guess I could tell you already now that it is not really a top scoring pinball, not near... Some news came out last month about BRUSA (the next pinball in the pro pinball series). I'm certainly looking forward to the release of it which was said to occur during the 4th quarter of this year (but if you place pro pinball in the immutable law of why something is late you will have the correct release date ;)). There is a slight chance of a new club mail coming out this month, we'll see... nights! |
