November 1998 Editorial
Original Publishing Date (y/m/d): 1998-11-01

Dear sir,

Let's make this a month and a half editorial, just been a bit to lazy to write this editorial earlier since I have been working on the pin #06 letter. Hopefully you should have received the club letter in your email already, if you haven't please make sure that I have your current email (check the members list on the club page).

As any usenet rec.games.pinball reader might have noticed a number of threads have appeared on the subject of microsoft pinball arcade. Many people seem to agree on the fact that few bugs were fixed during the beta of this pinball (ms went out and announced the beta in this newsgroup, thus it is sort of natural that some discussions on the subject appears now when the beta is over). I can only say that the different pre-final versions I myself have played of the pinball all were promising but needed quite some work. A second note is that there is both opinions on MPA being good and opinions on it being terrible (no kidding, different opinions?). A side-note, ms didn't give their beta testers any free copies of the pinball which sounds kind a cheap to me. I'm still waiting for my copy of the full version, expect a full review of it whenever I receive it. The pinball has been released both in us and europe by now.

I am still trying to play a working ladder match of brusa. I currently use some very (or rather) old modems and for some reason whenever I try to play a ladder everything goes deadslow for me, funnily enough noone else (and I really mean noone else, but me...) seems to have this problem. Ah well, I can play using directplay and I must say again that the h2h is great! I really recommend you try it as soon as you have gotten your copy of the pinball!

I suppose some of you might have noticed that 21st Century's website has been down for the last couple of weeks. This is kind of worrying... A former 21st Centuriest I happen to know a little over email had noticed this and had talked to an old buddy of his (who is a tech guy at 21st), according to him the reason the site was down was because their isp was having some kind of nightmare... though I got the impression the tech guy wasn't one hundered perecent sure on this, so who knows?

Is there many of you who have bought brusa yet (I know it's not out in the us yet, but there is overseas orders and such I hope)? Was thinking, since the pinball is just filled with loveable qoutes, could you mail me your favourite qoute with some comment as of why you like it and I'll publish those I recieve (if any) in the december editorial! See the front page for my favourite! :)

"Does this trunk suit me?"
