Resources

By level or topic

There is a plethora of resources to support the teaching of Aboriginal Studies. These can all be searched in our online catalogue, as books, CD's, videos, and audio cassettes and 'packs'

For those wanting to get a quick start, we have organised resources into handy 'packs' under schooling levels, and under topics...with more topics to come soon.

Under schooling levels

Under topics

These 'packs' can be reviewed here. Under the the first two headings books are arranged according to age groups, for ...

  • young children
  • primary children
  • high school students
  • tertiary students and adults

And don't forget

The best way to learn about Aboriginal culture is from Aboriginal people, so be sure to check that materials you use have been developed in consultation with Aboriginal people, according to established criteria.

When starting any new areas, there are many new things to learn - see the sensitive issues section for matters that require some sensitivity.
