Students who choose the six-week period from May 16 to June 26 will have the benefit of the last five weeks of the Trinity Term with its many extra-curricular activities.
Students will have the normal privileges in Oxford Colleges of Associate Students and may use all student facilities which are open in the summer period (dining halls and libraries may be closed for certain periods but other libraries will be open).
So far as we know, WISC (and its related-college programmes) is the only summer school in Oxford that offers tutorial courses - all the other summer schools have lecture courses. WISC also offers a special programme of lectures in Shakespeare Studies. Students may study in three-week sections from May 23 through July 25. Students should arrive on May 23, June 13 or July 4. Students may enrol in one, two or three sections - studying different plays. Each three-week section will include at least three Shakespeare plays in Stratford, in Oxford or at London's Globe Theatre.
