Create CD Options

 

 Button:

CD-R Options are available for you to have more control over the creation of audio CDs, including creating data or audio CDs, writing to a CD multiple times (multisession), control over system resources for faster and more reliable recording, even adding a copy of MUSICMATCH Jukebox software to your CD.

CD Format

Audio - will create a CD that will play on most conventional CD players.

Data - will create a CD in which files will be stored as data, as they are on your hard drive.

Create CD in drive: If you have multiple CD drives choose the one that best suites your needs.

Special: Checking the box next to Special places a copy of MusicMatch Jukebox onto your CD to share with a friend.

Setup

Test CD Writing Only - This will test your CD-R or CD-RW settings prior to creating your CD.

Test then Write CD - Is selected by default. Will run a test on your CD-R or CD-RW drive and proceed to writing your CD.

Write Music CD Only - no test is run prior to writing.

Speed - Will default to 1x which will maximize your chances of creating a useable audio CD. You may use the drop down window to change that setting to one of your preference.

Beep when done - Is selected by default. You may remove the check to disable this setting.

Eject when done - When checked will Eject the CD when finished recording.

Create CD in drive - Used to select the CD-R drive to create the CD from if you have multiple CD-R drives.

Cache

Enable - Is selected by default. The cache creates a buffer to be sure there is a consistent feed of data to your drive for writing the CD. MUSICMATCH recommends you leave this function enabled.

Priority - Is set to normal by default. This setting indicates the amount of system resources that are made available for your CD creation. MUSICMATCH recommends you leave this setting at "normal".

Size (cache) - defaults to 1MB. MUSICMATCH recommends you leave this setting at the default for best results. However

Audio CD-R Options

2 second track gap - Is selected by default. This will indicate that you would like a 2 second gap in between songs on the CD you are creating. You may remove the check to disable this setting.

Decode files directly to CD. - (faster) This option will be selected by default and only applies to audio CDs. Using this option, no intermediate files will be created during the recording process; this means you will not need 800 MB of free disk space in order to create an audio CD .

Use hard drive cache. - You may choose this option instead of Decode files directly to CD. This setting improves reliability on some systems. Requires up to 800 free MB on hard drive.

Temporary Storage Directory - allows you to choose where you would like to store your created files.

Multisession Writing

Multisession will allow you to continue writing to CD-R or CD-RW media that already has information on it, and who's session was not "closed". For more information on multisession CD writing click here.
