Who's That PokΘMon?	Pikachu

The first episode of PokΘMon, the TRUE first episode of PokΘMon, starts out with the introduction of the Game Boy game PokΘMon. Then, it changes into a cartoon, indicating that the game's been made into a cartoon. I thought this was groovy. ANYWAY, the PokΘMons Nidorino and Gengar were in a PokΘMon stadium, battling each other, with an announcer...announcing what each of the monsters were up to. Like wrestling, only groovier.

Anyway. Nidorino tried to tackle Gengar, but he dodged it, and then put Nidorino to sleep with his Hypnotise attack. Then, Nidorino was called back by a laser beam shot out of it's trainer's PokΘBall, who then called upon the giant rock serpent, Onix, who promptly attempted to tackle Gengar. Gengar though dodged it, which earned himself a nice little compliment from the announcer.

"Yes! I am Ash!" a boy of ten introduced himself in his head. He was anxiously awaiting the day ahead where he'd get his PokΘMon Training license. You see, when a boy turns ten, he is able to get his PokΘMon Training license, to allow him to travel the world in order to become the world's Greatest PokΘMon Master.

"PokΘMon Master!" Ash pronounced, holding his PokΘBall-like Clock. "That is what I'll-"

"Ash!" Ash was interrupted. "Get to bed!" Ash's mom took the Alarm clock out of Ash's hands, emphasizing the time. "It's 11 O'Clock and you should be asleep!"

Ash scowled, saying that due to tomorrow's big festivity, he can't sleep. Ash's mom switched the TV Channel to one of which the town's PokΘMon Master, Professor Oak, was introducing the three different PokΘMons available for the people who will recieve a PokΘMon. Squirtle, Bulbasaur, and Charmander.

During the night, Ash DID managed to sleep, and had several dreams about which PokΘMon he would choose. His alarm clock coincidently fell into his hands. Due to his dreams of throwing PokΘBalls, his alarm clock was thrown from his hands to the bottom of his bunk, damaging it.

By the time Ash woke up, it was already late, and he stumbled out of bed and promptly began the run to Professor Oak's house. When he finally got there, he was greeted to a crowd of people praising a person named Gary. When Ash got through the crowd of people, he fell down and earned himself a few not-so-nice words from Gary.

As it turns out, Gary is the grandson of Professor Oak, and he has just gotten his first PokΘMon, which he gladly bragged about. Ash was somewhat impressed, and decided to ask Gary what PokΘMon he got. Gary refused to answer, and went away with the large crowd of people following him. Ash knew that they were going to be rivals, but Professor Oak interrupted Ash's moment of hot steam. Professor Oak made a joke, saying Ash looks like he's more ready for bed than PokΘMon, as Ash was still wearing his pajamas.

After being lead into the Professor's labratory and finding out that the three PokΘMon were all taken, Professor Oak said that there WAS another PokΘMon left, although it has a slight problem. Ash didn't care, saying that he HAD to have a PokΘMon. So, another PokΘBall appeared, and out came the cutest animal you've ever seen!

"His name is Pikachu," said Prof. Oak. Ash was very happy about his PokΘMon, and immediately grabbed it. Pikachu wasn't too excited about this, and electricuted Ash. "He's also known as the Electric Mouse," the Prof. continued. "Shocking, isn't it?"

"I...see...what...you...mean."

After recieving his PokΘDex, a super-computer with information on nearly all the PokΘMons, and some PokΘBalls, balls that are able to catch PokΘMon, he was greeted outside to a small crowd of people. His mother was in the crowd too, saying how much she'll miss him and the such. Then she started embarrassing Ash, revieling all the things that she packed in his backpack, including underwear and all. Ash decided to stop her before she went any further. Than she was introduced to Pikachu.

"I thought all PokΘMons were supposed to stay inside their PokΘBalls," said his mother. "Why isn't this one?"

"Oh ya," was all Ash said, and then he attempted to get Pikachu inside the ball, which turned out to be a game of tennis with Pikachu bouncing the PokΘBall back with his head, hands and tails. But before they could go any further, Ash's mom interrupted them with a comment on how they're friends already.

Then she went on to say that "It's a little weird..."

Pikachu obviously didn't like that comment, and electricuted the crowd of people.

"Don't forget to change your underwear..." said Ash's mom, who was basically knocked unconscious on the ground by the shock. "Every...single...day..."

Later, Ash was dragging Pikachu with the clothline his mother packed for him. Pikachu was obviously not enjoying this. Ash then asked Pikachu a few "like me?" questions, which Pikachu promptly said No in Pikachusian. Ash then untied him, although Pikachu was still not happy.

Ash then spotted a Pidgey, which would be a flying pokΘmon who's gentle and easy to catch, as Ash's PokΘDex claims. Ash was excited about this, and tried to get Pikachu to attack it, but of course, Pikachu wouldn't listen, and decided to run up a tree to laugh at Ash's misfortunes.

So Ash decided to try to get Pidgey by himself, and once he got Pidgey inside his PokΘBall, he of course was happy. But the PokΘBall kept wigglying and soon Pidgey made it out of the PokΘBall. Then he was informed by the PokΘDex that he needed to weaken the PokΘMon before he catches it. Pikachu just burst out laughing.

Ash then attempted to catch Pidgey with his worn out Pajama, but failed, as Pidgey used it's wind and sand attack on Ash. Pikachu kept laughing. Then, Ash tried throwing a rock at different group of Pidgeys, although failed. He then saw another Pidgey in the shadows, and attempted to throw a rock again. It wasn't a Pidgey though.

"Spearow, unlike Pidgey, has a terrible attitude." The message from his PokΘDex probably wasn't too inviting for Ash. "They are very wild and will sometimes attack other PokΘMons and Humans." With that, Ash was almost knocked dead by the Spearow, who kept bulleting down on Ash. But then Spearow spotted Pikachu. The bird then attacked Pikachu.

"Hey, don't pick on Pikachu! It didn't throw the rock!" Ash was obviously mad, but was then explained by the PokΘDex that PokΘMon tends to be jealous of human-trained PokΘMon. Ash was still not happy though.

Pikachu was holding tight onto the branch of the tree he had climbed, hoping Spearow won't hit him. Then, just as Spearow was coming close, he let out a lightning attack! Spearow was obviously annoyed. Yes, he survived the ligtening attack. And because he did, he took the chance to call on his Spearow friends.

The sight of hundreds of Spearows flying towards Ask and Pikachu wasn't too much of an excitement to them. Soon they were running as fast as they can, Ash and Pikachu by his side. Pikachu decided to run ahead of Ash, but the Spearows caught on to Pikachu, and started hurting him. *Oh no!* Ash dodged his way past the Spearows, picked up Pikachu, and continued to run.

Soon, they approached a dead end. A waterfall. Isn't that usually always the part where the scary part comes. Well, in Ash's case, it wasn't THAT scary, because he CHOSE to jump off the cliff, down the waterfall and into the river.

"Eh?" A girl had a curious look on her face as she held her fishing rod. "Hey, I got a bite! Oh wow, I really think this could be a big one!" After several pulls and dugs, a boy flew out of the water. It was Ash. "Nah, it's just a kid," the girl said with little enthusaism. "Oh, and a PokΘMon! Oh, it's hurt, are you okay?"

"Ya, I'm fine," Ash responded. The girl then yelled at him that she was talking to Pikachu. she said that Ash needed to get to a medical center really quick, and showed him the direction.

Then Ash "borrowed" the girl's bicycle, claiming he'll give it back "someday." Then, he rode off, with the Spearows STILL in persuit. Then it started raining. Soon after, the Spearows caught up, and Ash fell off the bike. Ash was determined not to let the Spearows get Pikachu.

"Spearows," Ash said as he stood up, "do you know who I am?! I am Ash, from the town of Pallet! I'm destined to be the world's Number One PokΘMon Master! I will not be defeated by the likes of you! I'm going to defeat and capture you all! COME AND GET ME!!!"

Pikachu was touched by Ash's willingness to protect him. Then, a lightening struck. During this split second, it showed Ash and the Spearows in several different view points. (Very groovy!) Pikachu then ran towards Ash, jumped on his shoulder, and jumped into the lightning, causing a COLOSSAL Electric Blast!

The sun came back out. Pikachu and Ash regained contiousness. "Well, we beat 'em," said Ash. Then, they noticed a beautiful bird flying over the rainbow. The PokΘDex had no information on this PokΘMon, saying that there are still PokΘMon left to be identified. They then walked off, continuing their journey to Viridian City.
