Facts and Opinions in Discussions

Dutch version

This text is a experimental thought on today's discussing. I like to have response on this, you can mail me at anarchriz@hotmail.com .

Discussions are the expression of opinions where you try to convince the other person of your opinion. In real life it often in fact means that you try to make *facts* out of opinions to force the other person to accept your opinion. If you can prove an opinion then it is not any longer an opinion but a fact. And it does not make sense to discuss about facts. People who do that are (1) not sure if it a fact thus not sure about the proof, or (2) not willing to accept the fact as fact (i.e. ignoring the existence of the fact).
The problem with discussions is that most people see their opinions as facts. That sort of 'discussion' not really is a discussion but one-way expression of their opinion with almost no room for response in the form of criticism. [Facts which really are opinions have no proofs so these discussions always get stuck.]
