Introduction

When we changed over of the Amiga to the PC, we had to see, that on the PC there is more Shareware than on the
Amiga. Shareware was as good as a foreign word on the good old Amiga.  90% of all programs on the Amiga were
Freeware. The two best examples are the ProTracker and the Powerpacker. Today, the two authors of these programs
surely would have a lot of money on their account. Both programs were or are so popular, that the further development
of these programs dragged on about several generations.  All of them could profit from this by the fact, that the program
code was provided for also other programmers in the Amiga scene.

On the PC, every lousy program is declared Shareware whether usefully or not. If a part of the PC programmers
would distribute their programs as Freeware and doesn't think of their 'money-making', which they can't get due
to the big crackers' scene. These crackers scene then wouldn't be so superior.

To show how simple it's to crack their protective mechanisms, we offer various tutorials to every programmer (also the
Shareware programmers). We hope, that the Shareware programmers also read these tutorials so that they protect their
programs better in the next version. Against the big cracker crews they will be able to do nothing, but they could limiting
  the damage.

Result:  If they invest no more time in the development of better protective mechanisms, they can declare their programs as
Freeware at once. Then they surely would earn just the same lot of money

Our Philosophy

 - DOOM is a group, dedicated to the today's Cracking and Programmers Scene.
 - DOOM cracks "only just for fun" !
 - DOOM won't have stress with cracking tools like other Crews.
 - DOOM doesn't wish any trouble with other Crews !
 - DOOM breaks protection systems in programs for EDUCATIONAL purposes only. It should NOT be used to steal software !!!
 - DOOM will offer help in the form of tutorials to anyone wishing to study the art of Reverse Code Engineering.
 - DOOM will support the Win32 Assembler scene with sources, tutorials and links to other great Assembly resources

History

DOOM was founded in Germany 1992. First we was a crew coding demos, slideshows, mags, music disc's for the amiga
scene. Our favorite coding tool was AMOS. For this programming language we have written a music extension in ASM.
At this time, our new coding tool was DevPac-Assembler. After this we have supported the great EaglePlayer project with
music playroutines, some rippers and converters for different soundformats.
Later we changed over to the WinDOS console. First we have played game after game, but this hasn't satisfy us.
We started to crack Shareware-Tools and Games. Over the Reverse Code Engineering we have come to Assembly
  programming.
