Main Server Features of eXceed/OS2:

32-bit implementation

Fully X11R5 compliant

Allows you to display up to 32 host applications concurrently on your PC screen

Two windowing modes; can be switched on the fly:
Single Window Mode: All X applications run within one OS/2 window, utilizing any host-based window manager
Multiple Window Mode: Each X client runs in its own OS/2 window, with OS/2's Presentation Manager acting as the local window manager. This method minimizes network traffic and presents you with the native OS/2 user interface

Choice of Window Manager: You may run any host-based window manager, such as Motif, Open Look, and twm, or choose to run your local OS/2 Presentation Manager

Window panning and fit-window-to-display option

Paste OS/2 text, and text files to X

Copy X text and images to OS/2 clipboard, and copy X text to an OS/2 file

Simultaneous backing store and save unders, to reduce network traffic

Built-in xrdb support: a locally maintained resource database

Network file server installation

Xtrace: Hummingbird's unique protocol tracing captures all X protocol packets to assist with X client debugging

Various startup methods, including TELNET, PASSIVE, REXEC, RSH, and XDMCP in the indirect, query and broadcast modes
Support for local XDMCP Display Manager Chooser which presents a list of all hosts willing to manage the X display

Xsession: Drag & Drop, point & click multiple X application startup. May be customized with different window and startup modes
Telnet support for VT320/220/100/52 emulation. Includes copy and paste, text attribute color mapping, automatic re-sizing of fonts when the Telnet window is re-sized, and scroll bars
