Help for Duration Entries

Creating Duration Entries

Create New Duration Event: One new duration entry form will always be made available no matter how many duration entries are created. Once you submit the duration form and then return to the form you will find a slot to create a new entry.

Existing Duration Entries: These are existing duration entries to which you can make changes. The entries you see under this title have a date range that includes the current month. The point to understand is that only those duration events that will occur in the current month that is being viewed will be displayed on this form.

Creating duration entries is a rather easy process. Simply specify the date range for the event. You can also check the skip weekends to prevent the event from appearing on the weekend.

There are a couple of unique feature to duration events: 1) All duration events will appear first on the calendar block display. This allows you to get a continuous bar across the calendar. 2) Continues text can be listed across the duration of days. This is accomplished by placing semicolons between words when they are entered in the Calendar Text field of the Duration form. For example you might enter the following: Mike; On; Vacation; This; Week . This would then appear as follows on the block calendar display:

Sunday Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday
1 Feb 2 3 4 5 6 7
