Customizes the user interface colors in 3D Studio MAX that are not affected by the standard Windows NT custom colors.
Choose an item from the list, then click the color swatch to change its color. Click Reset Item to reset the currently-selected item in that area. Click Reset Category to reset all the items in the current category.
The Colors preferences panel contains the following options:
Lets you specify colors for the 3D Studio MAX user interface (items that don’t appear in the viewports).
Lets you change the colors of objects in the scene that have specific colors, such as space warps.
Choose an item from any of the lists, then click the color swatch to change its color.
Lets you change the colors of components that appear in the viewports, such as gizmos, camera cones, and so on.
Lets you specify a custom color or gray intensity setting for the home grid.
Grid Intensity: Sets a grayscale value for the display of the grid lines. 0 is black and 255 is white.
Invert: Inverts the grayscale value for the display of the grid lines. Dark gray becomes light gray and vice versa.
Reset Grid Intensity: Resets the grid intensity to its default value.
Grid Color: Sets a color value for the display of the grid lines. Lighter and darker intensities of the coilor are used for subgrid lines. Click the swatch to display a color selector, in which you can specify a color for the grid.
