Import

Loads or merges any data files that are not 3D Studio MAX scene format.

Reference

You can import DXF, PRJ, 3DS, STL (Stereolithography), PSD (Photoshop), and SHP files.

To see more than one file type at a time, choose the All Files file type.

How To

To import a file

  1. Choose File/Import.
  2. Choose an import file type from the Files of Type list in the file selector dialog.

    3. DXF

    PRJ

    3DS

    SHP

    STL (Stereolithography)

    PSD (Photoshop)

    AI (Adobe Illustrator)

  3. Select a file to import.
  4. If a second Import dialog appears, choose the import options you want.
