July 24th 2000 - A Special Report on Dafel: Bloodline

These pages outline the current development of Dafel: Bloodline for the Classic Amiga range, and our future aspirations for the project. Where we can we have included screen shots to show you some examples of current work in progress. We will regularly update these pages to keep you informed on progress.

We admit the project is long in coming with no firm release date set. Bloodline has become a huge project with over 12 people working on it, mainly for the vast array of graphical elements required for the project. We are now comfortable to say that a release of this project, in whatever form it may take, is not far away. We have said this before, but confidence is our guide this time...

More titles are being released by Pagan Games for high-end Amigas and NG that are yet to be announced, developed by other teams within our 28 strong group, which we know will thrill all of you.

But Bloodline is different. We have had the opportunity in the past to release a cut-down version of the game, to define cut down more clearly, a reduction of levels and a reduction of characters and plots, not of actual quality of work. We've preferred to wait, even through the ever decreasing Classic market and rampant piracy that makes profits from sales a diminishing twinkle in our eyes.

As in all RPG's, adventure is the key, and part of that adventure is exploring another world large enough to contain your and our own imaginations. That is what most of the development time is based, in creating the psychical material for that imaginary world. As with anything, it must end, and we know where that end is...
