Update #2 [13:22 CET] ARGH! The Geocities FTP server did a mess with my files! It happened before, but I was confident it wouldn't happen again. Those of you who tried to visit the website between 6:00 and 14:00 CET got no pictures, files, videos, etc, at all. I am so sorry for the problem. It should be solved NOW. If you find a non working link, please e-mail me! REMEMBER to click reload / refresh in your browser, prior to thinking that the files' problem remains!

Update #1 [6:00 CET]

Well, this time we have a HUGE update. After one week of absolute SILENCE, as promissed, I've done many changes to this website...

One of the hardest changes was the reorganization of APR in directories, now that GEOCITIES allows it. This is one change that many of you will not notice, since I am using frames and, by default, web browsers will only display the starting URL.

However there are MANY visible changes, both in contents and visual. This site is still NOT JAVA enhanced, but that will be the next step, soon. So, what are the BIG visible changes?

- Debut of the APR mailing list, just a click away (check above)!

- Debut of the F1RS (F1 Racing Simulator) and GTA (Grand Theft Auto) sections, featuring a Ghost Lap for F1RS (Australia, 1:29:884 with a MS Sidewinder 3D PRO Joystick), and a High Scores table for GTA.

- 3 NEW rare, unique [authentic collection stuff] small ALAIN PROST videos in MPEG1 format! This is HOT stuff, believe me! The 1st video is Prost arriving at the pre-grid of the 1989 portuguese F1 GP; these were Maclaren Honda days. The 2nd video is Prost going out of the car to the WC in the motorhome! At last, the 3rd video features the Maclaren team firing up Prost's engine for the warm up lap, from behind the 2 Ferraris (Berger and Mansell) and Senna!

- 2 New times for Monster Truck 2 (Voodoo Island and TinHorn Junction).

- 2 New replays for Monster Truck 2.

- Webtracker counter.

After conversations with Alex Kostushenko, ALAIN PROST RACING will take part on his GP2 World Grand Prix Championsip (GP2WGPC) (http://www.formula-1.citycat.ru/wgpc/), starting at the end of August 1998. Artur Marques will drive one of the cars, but there is a vacant place in the team. The races are only 20% real distance, no saves allowed and there is a STRONG cheat control mechanism. In fact, it was this STRONG anti-cheat control that made Artur accept the invitation to race in GP2. As you know from previous APR news, GP2 is old and too much well known by now, allowing fraudes, unless there is a league director as determined to avoid it, as Alex is.

The GP2WGPC  will probably be LAST appearance of Artur Marques at the wheel of his GP2 F1. Envolvment in F1RS and other simulators is getting stronger. The APR team will however keep racing in GP2, as long as there are interested drivers in doing so. E-mail us!, for TOTAL team support.
