I remember this game being tied in with the licence to
Clumsy Colin, the 'hero' of the KP Skips crisps advert. Of course, you could just be as
clumsy in the game whilst attempting to drive your bike around with this classic Rob
Hubbard tune in the background. It is simple, yet atmospheric and effective, and is
immensely catchy (so much so that I used to merrily hum along to this tune!) and doesn't
interfere too much with the main game. The main voice is just on the right side of cute,
with a nice bass line matching it pretty well. Of course, I could never finish the game
either..

Action Biker appears to be a game in which the player guides Colin, the Skips addicted motorcyclist through a pseudo-three-dimensional landscape collecting motorcycle parts to fit to his motorcycle.
Thought for the day: he should have just gone to Kwik-Fit.
Released by Mastertronic, it was the first decent game they ever released on the Commodore 64, due in no small part to Rob Hubbard's catchy themes. The Spectrum version looked completely different. And played completely different. You know what that was? Because it WAS completely different!
Melvyn, our resident pseudo-intellectual, comments!"Action Biker is a metaphor for life: in a very real sense, we are, if you like,
perusing the three-dimensional earth with our metaphorical motorcycles, collecting our
spare parts, like fate. In a very real sense, we ARE Colin. And, like the Skips crips he
advocates, we are all small corn things that melt when you put them in your mouth. 'Nuff
said."
