Choosing an Internet Service Provider
At this point, Netscape tell you to run the Account Setup Wizard in order to establish an Internet Service Provider.
Double-click on the Account Setup Wizard icon to begin.
Click on the appropriate button in the Account Setup Wizard screen, as shown below, and then click on Next to continue with the installation.
Setting Up a New Account
The Netscape Account Setup Wizard will step you through all the requirements for setting up a new account with an Internet Service Provider. Before proceeding, you should have the following information at hand: information:
- Personal Information (name, address, phone number, etc.)
- Billing Information (type of credit card, number, name, and expiration date)
- Modem Information (type of modem, modem port number,)
- Dialing Information (phone number, type of dialing)
Choosing an Internet Service Provider
- When selecting an Internet Service Provider, you should be aware of the following:
- What are the monthly charges and setup fees?
- How much connect time is included in the monthly charge?
- What technical support do they offer?
The Netscape Account Wizard provides you with a choice from among a number of different service providers. Choose the one that best meets your needs.
You are now ready to configure Netscape for Internet access. Jump to the section Setting Up Internet Access.
If You Already Have A Service Provider
Click on Next, then fill in the space with the name of your Service Provider. This will configure Netscape Navigator to automatically dial up your Internet Service Provider and connect you to the Internet whenever you double-click on the Netscape Navigator icon.
You will need to provide the following information:
- account information
- modem information
- dialing information
