Setting Up Internet Access
Now that you have an Internet Service Provider, you will need to provide Netscape with the information required to make an Internet connection. You should have received the following information from your Internet Service Provider when you set up your account:
- Account login name (or user ID) and password
- Access phone number for your service provider
- Domain Name System (DNS) server number, such as 111.111.11.11
- News (NNTP) and mail (SMTP and POP) server addresses (such as news.mydomain.com)
- You should also know whether or not your account requires a TTY login.
Follow the instructions on the screens as you step through the Internet Access process.
When you have completed the setup process, you will be able to connect to the Internet by just double clicking on the Netscape navigator icon.
You now need to set up your Meridian 59 account, and then you are done!
