Diaries and Task Lists
OfficeTalk provides personal diaries and task lists for individuals and diaries for resources.
Users can book appointments in 5,10,15 and 30 minute slots, and later rescheduling can be carried out by “dragging-and-dropping”. Reminders can be set for any appointment to help maintain punctuality. Recurring appointments can be set to repeat at regular intervals, whilst OfficeTalk automatically checks for any possible conflicts. The diary can be viewed a day, a week or a month at a time, and each view printed onto a range of user-defined paper styles.
Linked to each diary is a comprehensive task list, which enables the individual user to classify, prioritise and track their ongoing tasks. Users can sort their tasks into a variety of sub-groups, according to classification. Task status is shown by a series of coloured markers.
OfficeTalk allows managers to delegate tasks from projects, conversations and by E-Mail. More importantly, managers can track the status of assigned tasks to see whether or not they have been completed.
As well as each individual user having their own diary, OfficeTalk can also set up diaries for an unlimited number of static and mobile resources. The right to read and edit other users' diaries is determined by a user's access rights, which are set up in the Supervisor Mode. If a user wishes to keep information confidential viewing rights can be denied to other users. Alternatively, individual tasks and appointments can be marked as `private', which prevents other users, even those who have the correct access rights, from seeing the designated tasks/appointments.
