texinfo is the GNU text based hypertext system. It isn't very friendly compared with the Web, but most of the GNU docs are writen in this format. .info documents are also browsable from the GNU emacs editor.

If you have several info file directories, you may want to add the following to your .login file:
setenv INFOPATH /usr/freeware/info:/your/path/here

All of the subsystems for this product can be installed using IRIX. You do not need to use the miniroot. Refer to the Software Installation Administrator's Guide for complete installation instructions.
This software is compatible with IRIX 5.3 and IRIX 6.x.
