Starting the Project
To install this project, follow these steps:
- 1. Run the install script
$SAPPHIRE/tutorials/tutorial2/bin/Install
- and press
Enter at each question to select the default.
- 2. The install script should start Sapphire/Web for you. The first window that appears is the Project Window,
tut2.pj. Bring up the Options Editor by selecting Options... from the project window's Edit menu. Hereafter, selection of pulldown menus will be abbreviated as: Edit->Options...
- 3. In the Options Editor window, click on the down arrow across from
Category and select Test.
- 4. In the
Options List, select Database User Name and type in a username that can access the pubs2 database that was installed in the Installation Guide. Add the password as Database User Password. Enter the name of the Database Server as well, remembering that proper capitalization is important.
- 5. Select
File->Save in the Project Window.
- 6. Press the
Test button or select File->Test.
Once you have performed the above steps the start-up document for the Bookstore will be shown in your selected Web Browser.
