Release Notes

The following features are now available in Sapphire/Web version 3.0.

The Sapphire/Web State Server

The State Server allows you to retain state information about a user on the server in the form of cookies. The content of these can be exchanged with a browser, or the id of these cookies can be used for enhanced security.

The ability to deploy using ODBC or DB2

Read DB2.txt in your installation for the latest information of the ability to connect to DB2 databases from Sapphire/Web.

The ability to deploy as an Oracle Web cartridge (version 2.0 or 2.1 of Oracle Web Server for Unix). Read WRB.txt for further information.
The ability to deploy your application as an NSAPI application server for Netscape Fasttrack and Enterprise servers. Read SaPlugin.txt (in your Sapphire/Web distribution) for further information.
