PRISC.COM is a TSR which replaces the Print Screen service routine
which is invoked by Shift-PrtSc. Consequently it requires no
hotkey. PRISC.COM was inspired by PRNBYLIN.COM, PC Magazine June
14 1988, but is quite different. In addition to dumping one or
more lines of screen to printer, it can dump to disk file.
Invoke action with Shift-PrtSc. The top row becomes highlighted.
Move highlight using down/up arrow keys and select a line on which
desired text starts. Mark it with the ENTER key, and continue to
move highlight to select the line on which desired text ends.
If you want the highlighted text dumped to the printer, depress
the ENTER key. If you want it dumped to disk, depress the INS key.
In the latter case the text will be dumped to a file with the
default filename PRI-iiii.DMP, where iiii is incremented each
time PRISC is invoked. Thus, the ensuing files will be named
PRI-0000.DMP, PRI-0001.DMP etc. (up to PRI-FFFF.DMP). Naturally,
if you reset your PC, filenames will start with PRI-0000.DMP again.
A beep will be generated in case of write-to-file problems.
If you change your mind before dumping to either printer or disk,
you can use ESC to abort action. The highlights will disappear.
If you find PRISC.COM useful, you should install it in your
AUTOEXEC.BAT file.
It is recommended that any resident program be installed with
programs like MARK.COM or INSTALL.COM, so that it is capable of
being removed later with such programs as RELEASE.COM,
respectively REMOVE.COM.
If you like this program you are requested to send a check for
$15 drawn on a U.S. bank to

If you do, you will receive a diskette with many equally useful
utilities. If you would like to get the assembly source code for
the program, or a minor custom change, send instead a check for
$25 drawn on a U.S. bank.
