TEXT FILE READER by S.J.TEAGUE using AMOS
This is a basic text file reader so you can view text files with out
having to load a text editor e.t.c
This program is best run from workbench.
all commands are accessed by the keyboard:-
F1-----changes dir to df0: Starting point for the file selector.
F2-----changes dir to df1: Starting point for the file selector.
F4-----File wrap on:-
This was added so that when you get to the end of
a file you do not have go though the file again or press top of text e.t.c
the beginning of the text starts under the end of the text.
F5-----File wrap off.
F6-----Load new text file:-
This command brings up a file selector so you can look at other docs.
This program will not display PP files as they will look like funny
simbols.
F10----Print file:-
You must boot up with a workbench disk with the
preferences on it for this option to work.If you have booted up
a workbench disk and selected F10 and the printer is not working
go to the workbench by pressing the left Amiga key and A wait
until the workbench asks to resume or cancel, click on the cancel
button press the left Amiga key and A to go back to the reader prg.
put printer on line and press F10.(also check if you have the right
printer driver).
HELP---Brings up a page of all the commands and number of lines in text
file. AND some other commands
**********************************************************************
This program is shareware if you use this program for your own
disks then no registration is requested. But if you would like this
program on your own disks which are to be made PD/shareware/disk mags
or any other form of distribution then a once only registered payment of
5 pounds is asked then you can put it on any disk you like.
Your disk must have the librarys on boot up.
**********************************************************************
When the program is loaded it will look for the file READ-ME this
can be your own file but it must not be in any folders. If the
program can't find that file it will load this file TFR.doc
which is this text you are reading. Also when you are writing your
text use a return at the end of a line and not the wrap on the
text editor.
When you save your file save it as READ-ME if you want your file
to be load on start up else the TFR.doc is loaded. You may use
the READ-ME icon, but if you would like to use your own
call it READ-ME and set the default tool to TFR.A
Also you must save you icon as a project.
Copyright:
the files ~TFR.A' ~TFR.doc' ~TFR.info~ must be on the disk and
not changed in any way.And if the program is to be distributed
then a small registration of £5 pounds is requested.
The only files i can find that this TEXT file reader will not
display right are the ones packed.
All the text for this file was done on protext.
I have loaded in files of well over 20K(about 14 pages i think?) and the
program works great.I also loaded the AZspell dictionary which had
11296 lines in it!! and there was no problems.
Please report any bugs and problems.
hope you like this FILE READER
