The Maximum Roll Rate is Doubled when the "Fast Roll" Option is Selected.
The Jet's rate of turn will decrease as it's speed increases. Likewise, the
jet's rate of turn will decrease as it's speed decreases. This accurately
reflect's the actual performance of a jet....Slow down to turn at the
fastest rate...
Spec's for all the various jet's available...

The Air and Ground Rules of SkyChase
------------------------------------
All action takes place within a finite airspace in the shape of a cube.
The perimeter of the cube, or combat zone, is just outside of the grid area.
The perimeter includes the ceiling as well as the four walls and ground.
All games start with a controlled flyby. The flyby is a fair way of starting
aerial combat and is initiated automatically. Pilot controls are suspended
until the jets approach and pass each other head on. After the flyby, combat
begins with all pilot controls activated.
Game Speed
----------
The overall speed of the game can be adjusted by pressing F1 to slow down
and F2 to speed up the game. The game automatically tries to play at the
fastest rate possible, but on machines with very fast processors, it some-
times becomes necessary to slow dow the action to a playable speed. To af-
fect a speed change, press the keys any time during combat.
The playing level can be adjusted in increments of 5, up to 30 max prior
to starting.
Enemy Window
------------
Normally the enemy window will be visible so you can see what your
opponent see from his plane. For added challenge, you can "hide" the
enemy window. This is especially challenging when flying against the
F-19 Stealth Fighter.
The settings for human and computer are predetermined for each leve and
some of the Player Optionsettings are in effect in the one-player game.
However, you can select the plane, control device, and roll type for the
human player in the Player Options Menu.
When a level starts, you will receive your mission briefing, consisting of
one of the following:
Intercept Enemy Patrol Aircracft
--------------------------------
The enemy will fly a predetermined patrol pattern, ignoring any hostile
actions from the player.
Intercept Enemy Patrol Aircraft - Enemy Will Engage If Provoked
---------------------------------------------------------------
The enemy will fly a predetermined patrol pattern, but will become
aggressive if attacked.
Intercept Enemy Patrol Aircraft - Enemy Will Engage When Patrol Completed
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
After the enemy completes his patrol mission, he will attack the player's
jet.
Engage Enemy Aircraft Immediately
---------------------------------
The enemy's mission is to destroy the player's plane.
Patrol Area And Intercept Enemy Aircraft
----------------------------------------
The enemy will enter at a random location in the SkyChase Arena and will
either fly a patrolled mission, or instantly attack the palyer's plane.
Evade Enemy Aircraft
--------------------
The palyer MUST survive long enough for the enemy plane to run out of
fuel and crash.
When playing against the computer, you will face different enemy pilots.
The pilots' names will appear on the screen next to your mission briefing.
As you progress in levels. the enemy pilot's will become more difficult to
shoot down. Their skill is indicated by their rank:
Lieutenant Junior Grade .......................... Easy
Lieutenant .
Lieutenant Commander .
Commander .
Captain ........................................... Difficult
When you destroy an enemy plane, you will proceed to the next level. If the
enemy shoots you down, you will have to face the same level again. If the
enemy shoots you down three times, you run out of lives and the game is
over.
Well.....until someone correct's the doc check, this will haveta do....
If ya ran a few simulator's then this is no problem!! Although, in my
opinion, this is one of the better one's that i've played...These doc's
appear to be quite extensive, but it will ask you a question about one of
the plane's, so i figured i'd bang out a little more, just in case...You
use the keypad and space bar to select the craft and configure the payload,
speed, fuel, etc......
Happy Flyin!!!
