  39. DESCRIPTION:

  41. Cybernetic Physician is an artificial intelligence expert system, with
  42. inference engine and medical knowledge base.  Intended for home use,
  43. and using non-technical terms, this program attempts to diagnose illness
  44. and injury by the user's responses to simple questions.  "Not intended to
  45. replace the services of a qualified physician."  This is a full working
  46. shareware evaluation version, with a small, but useful subset of the
  47. entire knowledge base.  Works on any Amiga, WorkBench 1.3 and up.

  49. REGISTRATION:

  51. Registration is only $14.95 plus shipping and handling.  Registrants
  52. receive version 2.0 of this program, which contains the entire
  53. knowledge base.

  55. INSTRUCTIONS
  56. ------------
  57. The program is designed to be easy to use.  Online help is provided,
  58. by either pressing the "HELP" key, or choosing "HELP" from the main
  59. menu.

  61. Use of the program is based on two easy steps:
  62.  
  63. 1) A "Profile" must be placed in memory, either by choosing 
  64. "PROJECT/NEW PROFILE" from the menu, or "PROJECT/LOAD PROFILE", which
  65. loads a previously created profile in memory.

  67. What is a "profile"?  It just contains data on the "subject", the subject
  68. of the query of the database.

  70. 2) Once a profile is in memory, choose "PROJECT/INTERROGATE" to begin
  71. the query.  You will first be shown a list of major complaints... 
  72. choose the single complaint that best fits the subject's condition.
  73. Then you will be shown the history list, then the symptom list.
  74. You will then be asked simple questions.  Finally, the program
  75. attempts to diagnose.
