Labels:text | letter | handwriting OCR: In 1507 an Etruscan tomb was uncovered in the Chianti region of Tuscany, a discovery that possibly stimulated Leonardo to invent this extraordinary monument, a conical tomb surmounted by a temple. His plan for the interior describes six galleries that lead to burial chambers that would have held, in total, as many as 500 funerary urns. At the right he demonstrates the corbeled arch construction, based on Etruscan design, of the inner chambers.
