INSTALLATION GUIDE
Wollongong Pathway NDIS 2 Driver
for EtheRx LC ISA Ethernet Adapter

Introduction:
This installation guide provides instructions for installing the
Wollongong Pathway NDIS driver.
This installation guide provides the following instructions:
- Using QStart to transfer Wollongong Pathway NDIS driver
files from the Kingston Driver Diskette to the destination
directory.
- Installing the Wollongong Pathway software.
Copying the Driver files:
When you use the Generic or Custom install options in QStart, the
files associated with the network operating system environment you
choose will be displayed in the Drivers Installation screen and you can
copy them to the default destination directory (A:\NDIS2);
unless you specify otherwise.
After the files are copied to the destination directory, you will
need to perform the procedure outlined in the next section to install
the driver.
Driver Installation Procedures:
I. Installing Wollongong Pathway NDIS 2 driver
This Installation assumes that your EtheRx LC Ethernet Adapter is
dedicated for Wollongong Pathway. For installation of Pathway over
existing network setup, in which case your LC adapter will be shared,
please refer to your Pathway manual.
1. Make sure the EtheRx LC ISA adapter is properly installed in
your computer.
2. Pathway Runtime should be loaded first to configure the LC adapter.
For Runtime v2.0 for DOS/Windows, execute A:\PWSETUP from
your Runtime diskette (this version requires the Interrupt setting for
your LC adapter).
For Runtime v4.1.1 for Windows, execute A:\SETUP -from Windows-
off your Runtime setup diskette.
3. At the Adapter Selection:
*For Runtime v2.0: select Ethernet adapter, NDIS driver
*For Runtime v4.1.1: select "Manufacturer Supplied Disk
[NDIS drivers]"
For adapter type, select "ETHERNET/ARCNet"
When asked to input the path for PROTOCOL.INI, insert your
Kingston driver diskette, enter A:\NDIS2 as the path.
4. Follow instructions on the screen to complete your installation.
5. Reboot your PC.
6. Next step is loading your Pathway Access.
7. Please refer to your manual instructions.

If more than one EtheRx LC ISA Ethernet adapters are found in your PC,
you must also add the following line into this section of the
PROTOCOL.INI file as following:

*For Runtime v2.0 for DOS\Windows, the default location is in:
\PATHWAY
*For Runtime v4.1.1 for Windows, the default location is in:
\PATHWAY\LANMAN)

where "xxxxxx" is the last 6 alphanumeric characters of the
corresponding MAC address of the EtheRx LC ISA adapter you are
using. Reboot the machine for the new settings to be updated.
