  7.    B. use "custom" utility to install the 840 SCO 5.x software package.

  9.       1. doscp a:/<path>/w840s5.dst  /tmp/VOL.000.000.

  11.       2. execute "custom" utility,

  13.       3. select "Software" item in the "Software Manager (custom) on
  14.          hostname" window to get into pull down menu,
  15.          move to "Install New...", then press [Enter] button,

  111.         not make sure this value, you do not change the value, continue the
  112.         installation, this driver will search PCI Ethernet card automatically.

  115.         you can click [Advanced Options] buttom to set other parameters.

  140.          Parameters:
  141.          1) Burst Length:
  142.             The default value is "BurstLength_is_32_longwords".
  143.             Burst Length defines the maximum number of long words that can be
  144.             transferred within one PCI burst transaction.
  145.             The reasonable values are "BurstLength_is_1_longword",
  146.             "BurstLength_is_2_longwords", "BurstLength_is_4_longwords",
  147.             "BurstLength_is_8_longwords", "BurstLength_is_16_longwords", and
  148.             "BurstLength_is_32_longwords".
  149.          2) Cache Alignment,
  150.             The default value is "CacheAlignment_is_32_longwords".
  151.             Cache Alignment defines the address boundary for data burst.
  152.             The reasonable values are "CacheAlignment_is_8_longwords",
  153.             "CacheAlignment_is_16_longwords" and
  154.             "CacheAlignment_is_32_longwords".
  155.          3) Transmit Threshold Value,
  156.             This value decides the transmit threshold level of the transmit
  157.             FIFO. Transmission will start immediately after the transmit FIFO
  158.             has reached the threshold level or full pkt has been transferred
  159.             to the transmit FIFO if the frame length is less than the transmit
  160.             threshold level.

  167.          4) Line Speed,
  168.             The default value is "AutoDetect".
  169.             This adapter can be operationed in 10M or 100M Mbps.
  170.             The reasonable values are "AutoDetect"(auto detect line speed by
  171.             the driver), LineSpeedIs10M(set the line speed is 10M) and
  172.             LineSpeedIs100M(set the line speed is 100M).
  173.          5) Full Duplex Function:
  174.             This adapter can be in half or full duplex mode. In half duplex
  175.             mode, the W89C840 can only either transmit or receive. In full
  176.             duplex mode, the W89C840 can transmit and receive at the same
  177.             time.
  178.             The reasonable values are AutoDetect(auto detect full duplex
  179.             function by the driver), Disable(disable full duplex), and
  180.             Enable(enable full duplex).
