  4.    Introduction:
  5.    -------------
  6.    This document describes the procedure to install NDIS driver on DOS
  7.    LAN Requester for TE-16PnP Ethernet Card.
  8.  
  9.  
  10.    Location of Driver:  \NDIS.DOS\PNPND.DOS  (for DOS LAN Requester)
  11.  
  12.    Installing driver procedure on DOS LAN Requester :
  13.    --------------------------------------------------
  14.  
  15.       1. Insert the IBM LAN Support Program (LSP) Version 1.30 (or 1.31)
  16.          Diskette into your floppy drive A: .
  17.  
  18.       2. Type A:\dxmaid  and press <Enter> .
  19.  
  20.       3. The screen will display the IBM logo. Press <Enter> twice until
  21.          the "Environment Information" appears on screen.
  22.  
  23.       4. Responds to the screen prompts, specifying the following values
  24.          for each field,use the <Space Bar> to toggle between choices:
  25.  
  26.                 Configuration for this computer?          Yes
  27.                 Use existing configuration information?   Yes
  28.                 Do you have adapter option diskettes?     Yes
  29.                 Are you configuring for two adapters?     No
  30.                 Do you need 802.2 interface support?      Yes
  31.  
  32.                 Source for LSP                           A:\
  33.                 Target for new configuration             C:\lsp
  34.  
  35.          Make  sure  that  the values given above are correct, then press
  36.          <Enter> to store your choices.
  37.  
  38.       5. Insert the TE-16PnP Ethernet Card driver diskette in floppy A,and specify
  39.          your pathname A:\,then press ENTER.
  40.  
  41.       6. Follow  screen  instructions  to  complete  the  process. Simply
  42.          pressing <Enter> for each screen display will select the default
  43.          options. Press <Enter> until you reach the display prompting you
  44.          to insert the LSP diskette.
  45.  
  46.       7. Insert the LSP diskette as prompted. Press <Enter> to acknowledge
  47.          completion of the action.
  48.  
  49.       8.  A screen  showing  the  current  configuration  detected will be
  50.           displayed. It should show the " TE-16PnP EthernetCard " and the
  51.           protocols already selected (i.e., "IBM IEEE 802.2" and
  52.           "IBM OS/2 NETBIOS").

  54.       9.  Press <F4>. to save the new configuration. This completes the LSP
  55.           installation.
  56.  
  57.       10. Save the configuration and reboot your computer.
  58.  
  59.       11. Insert the DOS LAN Requester Install Diskette 1 into your floppy
  60.           drive.
  61.  
  62.       12. Type A:\INSTALL    <Enter>
  63.  
  64.       13. The IBM logo will again appear on the screen. Press <Enter> to
  65.           move on to the next screen.
  66.  
  67.       14. Follow  screen  instructions,  pressing  <Enter>  to move from
  68.           screen-to-screen until you are prompted to indicate the pathname
  69.           of the DOS LAN Requester directory (C:\DOSLAN ).

  71.       15. Specify the pathname (C:\DOSLAN is the default) for the DOS LAN
  72.           Requester directory . Then press <Enter> to continue.
  73.  
  74.       16. The program will ask you for the services that you require.
  75.  
  76.       17. Highlight the appropriate option. Select either "Send messages"
  77.           or "Send, View, Edit, and Log message" option. (Normally, second
  78.           option "Send, View, Edit and Log message" is selected).

  80.       18. Specify the PC's ID and domain ID.
  81.  
  82.       19. Follow screen prompts to complete the installation.
