  6. To install the Windows 3.1 drivers from the DOS prompt, proceed as follows:
  7.  
  8.  1 Insure that Windows 3.1 is already installed on your computer.
  9.  2 From your Windows directory, at the DOS prompt, type SETUP[Enter] 
  10.    to run the Windows SETUP.EXE program. Follow the instructions on the
  11.    screen.
  12.  3 From the next menu listing of display options, scroll to the bottom
  13.    of the list, and highlight the following text:
  14.    Other (Requires disk provided by a hardware manufacturer)
  15.  4 Press [Enter], and when prompted, insert the Windows Display Driver
  16.    diskette into drive A: and type A:\[Enter].
  17.  5 You will see the list of drivers and their associated resolutions, such 
  18.    as:
  19.                ProSTAR 64 PCI v1.0, 640x480x16
  20.         ProSTAR 64 PCI v1.0, 640x480x256
  21.         ProSTAR 64 PCI v1.0, 640x480x64K
  22.         ProSTAR 64 PCI v1.0, 640x480x16.7M (1MB or 2MB)
  23.         ProSTAR 64 PCI v1.0, 800x600x16
  24.         ProSTAR 64 PCI v1.0, 800x600x256
  25.         ProSTAR 64 PCI v1.0, 800x600x64k
  26.              ProSTAR 64 PCI v1.0, 800x600x16.7M
  27.         ProSTAR 64 PCI v1.0, 1024x768x16
  28.         ProSTAR 64 PCI v1.0, 1024x768x256
  29.         ProSTAR 64 PCI v1.0, 1024x 768x64K
  30.         ProSTAR 64 PCI v1.0, 1280x1024x16
  31.                ProSTAR 64 PCI v1.0, 1280x1024x256

  33. Highlight by moving the cursor to the desired display driver, and then click 
  34. on OK. Setup will prompt you that the driver is already in your Windows 
  35. directory and give you a chance to replace it. Use the existing driver.
  36. Continue with the remainder of the setup procedure. The changes will not
  37. take effect until Windows is restarted. 
  38. Highlight the desired choice by moving the cursor to the correct display
  39. driver, and then press [Enter].
  40. Continue with the remainder of the setup procedure.

  42. UNDER the WINDOWS:

  44.  Use the ICON under the ProSTAR PCI group to select the resolution and 
  45.  refresh rate you desired for your computer.
