Description of bugs corrected by this Driver Update
1. In some applications, which display a wide box of text, the text would not
appear, or would appear and then immediately disappear. This problem was very
intermittant and would only occur at resolutions below 1024 x 768, and only if
the text box was nearly as wide as the displayed resolution. It also was
sensitive to the selected font resources and color depth.
2. Winbench version 4.0 would cause a General Protection Fault in the DRV
module when the advanced stretch blt test was run. The stretch blt had to
involve a patterned (3 operand) raster operation to fail. This is the only
application I know of that would do this.
3. Adobe Photoshop would cause a General Protection Fault while performing
certain stretch blt operations. This problem would not occur with the 256 color
drivers, but with any of the others.
4. The true color drivers would fail on some inferior motherboards, such as
those based on the Contaq chip set. Simply moving large windows on the desktop
would corrupt the colors in the desktop image.
