  3.       INTERVIEW WITH DAD OF IMPACT

  7. KLF: Could you first present  yourself.
  8. How old are you, what do you do in the band ?
  9. What is your configuration on ST ?
  10.  
  11. DAD: Hi everybody. I'm about 20 springs old.
  12. I do some stuffs (ex: gfx digits, musics digits),
  13. a little bit of swap ( utilities, disk mags...).
  14. And I also code lotsa things in GFA.
  15.  
  16.  I've got a 1040 STF,monitor color, 
  17. Handy scanner with emulator mono, ST 
  18. replay 4, Ultimate ripper, Printer Star 
  19. LC 10, Hard disk 52 meg, external drive 
  20. SF, 3 joysticks, 2 Atari mices, many 
  21. books and magazines about ST, and at 
  22. last about 500 disks on ST, 100 on 
  23. Apple 2C and 50 on PC.

  25. KLF: Is Impact your 1st band ?
  26.  
  27. DAD: Impact has existed under different names ( Bat Boys,Alien Nation )
  28. but it was almost the same band as the current Impact.
  29.  
  30. KLF: What are the next productions or projects from Impact ?
  31.  
  32. DAD: Ayoros might release a megademo on 2 disks called: "TOWN & COUNTRY",
  33. but at the present time, I decrease the rythme of my activities, and I'm
  34. thinking about going on PC compatibles.

  36. KLF: Why do you want to leave us ? Aren't you interested in the next Atari ?
  37.  
  38. DAD: I've stayed for 3 years on Apple 
  39. 2C, and 5 years on ST,and I've 
  40. realized that all I learnt on ST, can't
  41. be used for my professional life. And I
  42. think the fight Amiga vs Atari will never
  43. finnish, so I'm not interrested in the Falcon &
  44. I've decided to do a high jump on PC.

  46. KLF: Do you realize that on PC, the 
  47. demo scene sucks ?

  49. DAD: I'm conscious, and I'm sad, and 
  50. it can be explained by their high 
  51. prices for a decent configuration on 
  52. PC. But I must learn how to use many 
  53. softwares ( AutoCAD...).

  55. KLF: Back to the ST. What are your 
  56. favorite bands or people on ST ?
  57.  
  58. DAD: Pompey Pirates and Superior for 
  59. the quality of their menus.
  60. Impact whose members are very cool and 
  61. enthusiastics.
  62. Mad Vision, the megaswappers.
  63.  
  64. KLF: What kind of music do you like to 
  65. listen to ?
  66.  
  67. DAD: Metallica, and the Rollins Band 
  68. whose Guitars are dope.
  69. PM dawn, New age music, PE #1, NTM...

  71. KLF: Are lyrics important for you ?

  73. DAD: I consider lyrics as an important 
  74. thing except if it Techno or House 
  75. music.

  77. KLF: Do you read lotsa books ?

  79. DAD: Yes, I do. Many esoteric books, 
  80. and a pack of computers magazines.

  82. KLF: Now, I'd like a little commentary 
  83. about this list of things ?

  85. MINITEL: Megacool, but expensive.
  86.  
  87. 1 MEG OF RAM ON ST: Indispensable, if you're not a 
  88. lamer.
  89.  
  90. OVERLANDERS: A good group of demos who 
  91. gives a good image of France.

  93. BEACH: That's cool, but there aren't
  94. power points enough.
  95.  
  96. POLITICIANS: 99% are rotten, it might 
  97. be a vocation not a job.
  98.  
  99. FAVE TV SHOWS: Metal express, Rapline, 
  100. the Simpsons.

  102. LAMERS: Everybody has been in the 
  103. beginning.

  105. YOUR MOTTO: Overpopulation is THE 
  106. planet problem.

  109. say something particular or give a few
