  20. i- Opening:
  21. _____________________________________________________________________________
  22. This is a guide for all the people out there who collect live/rare stuff. 
  23. It's a growing group, so it's about time someone did this. The main purpose 
  24. is to help you find the date, location, name, or whatever of a boot by 
  25. matching what you already have to the list. The best thing to do is to make 
  26. it a .txt file and use the search command (Most txt editors have them) to 
  27. find the certain information you want to know...
  28.  
  29. This is also the first release that's not just a bunch of error corrections.
  30. I am confident that I have finally corrected everything, so I've gone on to
  31. the next version number. If I screw up anything major, the I guess the next
  32. one will be 2.01. I'm just glad to have gotten this far.

  34. I also want to mention this is the first mailing list only version. After 
  35. the many sign-ups I had after the last two version posts, I decided it was 
  36. in best intrest to keep this at a request-only level. So, no more support 
  37. from the Alt.Music.Nirvana group unless maybe to sign up more people to the
  38. mailing list. If you know anyone on any system that carries Internet E-Mail 
  39. that wants to recieve these updates, let me know. I'll add them to the list.
  40.  
  41. I also want to take a moment to welcome the many new Prodigy members that 
  42. have signed up lately. The main reason is to tell them that they too can 
  43. contribute. Prodigy members can only recieve Internet E-mail (Unless you buy
  44. a program Mail Manager) so they can't send setlists and stuff like that to
  45. Internet users. So, there is an ID you can mail them to GYGC96B. That's a 
  46. Prodigy account, so there should be no problem. (Correction: As of now, I 
  47. believe Prodigy allows their users to send E-mail as well, but since I can't
  48. find out for sure, I'll go ahead and keep this up. I also don't know if that
  49. ID is valid either... I should really just earase this whole section).

  51. One last thing... (two actually)... I'd like to ask that you read the opening
  52. every update. There's usually something I need to tell you that I feel is 
  53. important... here's one:

  55. Many people have contributed the this list. And I'm grateful. But, I'm also 
  56. a bit forgetful. I can't prove it, but I think I lost a few of the set lists.
  57. I could have sword there were a few more, but I can't find them. I also think
  58. I forgot to add a few few people on the "Compiled From" list, but without the
  59. papers I had, I can't remember who. Can someone tell me who wrote the
  60. "Unofficial Nirvana Boot Discography" (Something on that lines)? I think it
  61. was Art Lee, but I'm not sure. I'd also like his/her ID, if you have it.

  65. 0.99    10/24/94 - "Rare" Beta release. Only released to the original 
  66.         contributers and "Beta Testers".
  67. 1.00    10/30/94 - Official Release. Errors corrected, beta info removed,
  68.         and other info added.
  69. 1.01    11/06/94 - Second release. Correction of yet more errors. Addition 
  70.         of Mailing List info (Accidentally left out of 1.00, I guess). More
  71.         info added. Wrong dates corrected. Notice added at the end. So many
  72.         errors in 1.00 that 1.01 was released earlier than planned. Hopefully
  73.         the last early release correction FAQ. 
  74. 2.00    11/25/94 - First "Mailing List Only" release. No longer available on
  75.         Alt.Music.Nirvana. Additions made.

  79. To make this list grow, I need help. There is no way I can find the setlists,
  80. dates, and all the other info in these lists by myself. There is also a very 
  81. rare chance I can catch my own mistakes. So, I need others to send in the 
  82. info they have on boots out there. If you have anything not on this list, 
  83. send it to greg@america.net with the date, location, and setlist. Or if it's 
  84. a demo or comp, just send the name and set list. Also, if you happen to know
  85. of CDs that carry anything on here that isn't listed, I'd love to have that 
  86. too. Thanks for the help!
