===========================================================================
Okay, stop your whimpering. Yes, I know that this is the end of POWER #16
but it won't be long until POWER #17 is gracing your disk drive (for more
info on POWER #17, read the 'ISSUE 17 OF POWER' article in this issue).
It's been a good issue and I'm glad to be writing this final word as it
means that I am near to completing this first Shareware issue of POWER and
then it's off to the spreaders, the P.D.L's, the orderers, the subscribers,
contacts and everyone else that desires a copy of the number one disk
magazine!
It's good to be back in the P.D. scene and I hope that you think that this
was a good issue and is worth registering for (for full information on
registering POWER, read the 'REGISTERING YOUR COPY OF POWER' article).
Thanks to everyone that has helped me with this issue of POWER (for a full
list, see the 'THANKYOU TO...' regular) which includes you (the reader),
the spreaders, the column contributors, the people that register this issue
of POWER, the distributing P.D.L.'s, the article authors and everyone else
that has written to me or helped me with POWER...Thanks guys and gals!
It's been quite an enjoyable issue to make. I had two weeks off for my
Easter holidays which helped me get loads of POWER done, I had my 15th
birthday (15 years on the planet...Some may say that's nothing, but it
feels like ages to me!), I have had loads and loads and loads of new
people ordering copies of POWER (more about that in a minute) so thanks to
everyone that spread the word\published my adverts and also, it was the
first Shareware issue which is something to celebrate in itself. Bye bye
POWERFIST licenceware (thanks as well!) and hello Shareware!!!
We've had lots of good reading material and some good P.D. (a lot of which
is exclusive to POWER!). Bascially, this hasn't been a bad issue so I hope
that you enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed making it (...As they
say!). I hope that you are honest enough to register this copy of POWER if
you enjoyed this issue as we need funding. Also, I hope that all you (plus
more) will be ordering and reading issue 17.
Onto the reading figures. The response was amazing. As from the 3rd April
I had so many orders flowing in it was absolutely brilliant. The word has
been spread excellently and at a rough estimation, I'd say that 300 copies
of this issue of POWER will be sent out within three days of release
(including subscribers and regular readers). That's excellent as already,
I have reached my target and that figure is BOUND to grow as the word of
POWER spreads. Remember to spread the word and also your copies of POWER
(for more information on copying POWER, see 'COPYING POWER' and for more
information on becoming an official POWER spreader, see the 'WANT TO BECOME
AN OFFICIAL POWER SPREADER?' article in this issue). Thanks to all the
'regular' readers who spread the word and to all disk magazines and
P.D.L.'s that published my adverts and helped spread the word. Also, a big
HELLO to all the new readers...I hope that this issue of POWER won't be
your last!
Meanwhile, it's time to say a big goodbye to you all for this month. ISsue
17 will be released (fingers crossed!) on the 1st June so until then, enjoy
the month of May and stay POWERful!
Tootle pip!
