Falcon Owners Group
- PRESS RELEASE -
BULLETIN BOARDS:
The FOG supporting bulletin board HOLODECK BBS (0454 317047) has finally
closed its doors. The Sysop, Dave Meaker, has a number of other plans
under-way including his own PD library, work on his comms related
programs and general help for callers to the sister BBS - the Chameleon.
The CHAMELEON BBS (0454) 881095 is still open 24 hours, runs up to
14,400 baud and has just opened a special service to all callers of a
FREE INTERNET EMAIL address. Log onto the board for more details.
FOG ON THE INTERNET:
You can now send electronic mail to the Falcon Owners Group at the
following address: requiem@armory.com
Our PD catalogue should be available for download from our own FTP site
by October of this year. Send for more information.
FOG PD LIBRARY CHANGES:
The entire Falcon Owners Group PD library was being run by Ronald Walker
of The Shareware Company who has done an excellent job for the past
year. However Ronald has decided he wants a change and is going to be
slowly closing down his PDL with a view to entering the world of
professional computer journalism.
The NEW FOG PDL has published its new catalogue with details of over 120
high density disks of Falcon software. The price for members is only £1
per disk. The new library address is 10 Oak Drive, Portishead, Bristol,
BS20 8QS, England. Send a blank disk and first class stamp for your
free catalogue and software.
FALCON UPDATE ISSUE FOUR:
Our Falcon magazine, Falcon Update, has now turned the way of the
electronic publishing trend and is being published on disk alone. The
new format means more room for articles and software than before. Issue
four has over 500 pages and nearly 2 megabytes of software on offer. To
receive a copy just send a cheque or postal order for £1.50p made
payable to the 'Falcon Owners Group' to the club address and don't
forget to include two first class stamps. Orders outside the UK please
pay £2.50p and orders outside Europe £3.50p.
FALCON UPDATE DIGITAL IS MONTHLY:
In our new disk-based format we have taken the brave step of publishing
Falcon Update once a month. Issue four (June-July) is out now. Issue
five is out on the 31st of July 1994. Each issue after that will be
released on the last day of each month.
NEW FALCON SHELL:
As we speak a new Falcon only shell for our disk magazine is being
programed. It will feature 256 colour graphics, soundtracker modules,
animation and fast text display. Needless to say it will be Falcon
only. Expect the new shell to be operational by issue 6 or 7.

PD library and lower prices all round, we have dropped the membership
