ATI Fix
ATI VIDEO DRIVER FIX
Errors caused by a conflict between the ATI mach 64 video driver and Grolier Interactive CD-ROM programs include General
Protection Fault messages in the module GDI.EXE.
INSTRUCTIONS
Exit Windows.
Type CD\Windows (hit enter).
Type edit system.ini (hit enter).
Search for the heading [macx]. Once this heading is found, add the following line to the bottom of the [macx] section: DeviceBitmap=Off.
Save the file by clicking File then Save. Exit the file by clicking File then Exit.
After exiting the file, close out Windows and reboot your machine to make sure the changes take effect.
Note: If you already have a line that says DeviceBitmaps=Off under the [macx] heading, remove just the "s" from DeviceBitmaps=Off line
so it reads DeviceBitmap=Off. Save the file, exit, and reboot.
