  4. Welcome to my Collection Manager V1.2

  6. The archive should contain the following files:

  8. \APP\S3ACOLL2.APP        Main program.

  11. \APP\S3ACOLL\S3ACOLLP.OVL        Optional Print file.

  13. \OPD\S3APRINT.DYL        Optional Print file.

  15. README.NEW          'Get you started' instructions for new users (This file).
  16. README.V11          Instructions on upgrading from V1.1.

  18. REGISTER.TXT        Details on how to register the program.

  28. This is a fairly complex program, so I would strongly encourage you to 
  29. read the instructions and work through the tutorial.  In particular, read the IMPORTANT
  30. note in this file before you start to put in any data.
  31.  
  32. However, if you still insist on flying blind:
  33.  
  34.      1.   Put S3ACOLL2.APP in your \APP\ directory
  35.  
  36.      2.   If you want to use the optional On-Line Help (Highly recommended)
  37.           put the file S3ACOLLH.OVL into an \APP\S3ACOLL\ directory.
  38.  
  39.      3.   If you want to use the optional Print option put the file 
  40.           S3ACOLLP.OVL into the \APP\S3ACOLL\ directory and the file
  41.           S3APRINT.DYL into an \OPD\ directory.  Note that this file is
  42.           common to all my programs, so if you have more than one of
  43.           them you only need one copy of this file.

  45.      4.   Install (PSION-I) and go for it !!

  48. IMPORTANT NOTE
  49. --------------
  50. Before you enter any data you really need to decide what you will want the program to 
  51. accomplish.  In particular you need to decide what will be grouped in the 'Names' fields 
  52. and what will go into the 'Categories' fields.  The difference to remember is that the 
  53. filter function will operate on the 'Categories' and the Text search will work on the 
  54. 'Names' fields.   The other aspect to consider is the 'Sorting'.  If you sort on 
  55. Category the order of the categories will be the order in which they were entered using
  56. the 'Enter Category' option, so make sure you enter them in the order you want.

  58. If you do get a problem, PLEASE read the full instructions first.  
  59.
