  3.      The purpose of the Progressive Letters Selection screen is to allow you to
  4. add more letters to your typing "vocabulary" as your typing skills increase.
  5.  
  6.      As you become proficient in typing a set of letters you can specify the 
  7. next set in the list.  The list is cumulative, that is, if you select the
  8. letters in entry number 4 to learn, then all of the letters in the preceding
  9. entries (1,2,3) will also be included in the drills.
  10.  
  11.      When you reach entry number 8, your drills will include all of the letters
  12. of the alphabet, semi-colon, space bar, and enter key.
  13.  
  14.                       ** HOW TO STRIKE THE KEYS **
  15.      Strike each key firmly and quickly with the appropriate finger, return 
  16. it to its HOME position.  Keep the other fingers close to the HOME keys.
  17. Strike the space bar sharply with the side of the right thumb.  The left
  18. thumb is NEVER used during typing.

  20.      The following HELP pages will briefly describe how to type the letters 
  21. listed in this menu.

  27.   1.  asdf jkl;  --  Place left-hand fingertips on the asdf keys and the right
  28.       hand fingertips on the  jkl;  keys.  Close all fingers slightly and rest
  29.       them lightly on the keys.  Slant the hands upward parallel to each other
  30.       at the wrists and keep them low, just clearing the keyboard.  For the
  31.       space bar, curve the right thumb and hold it slightly above the bar and
  32.       pointing to the letter  b.

  35.   2.  e,i  -  Reach up to these keys with the middle finger of each hand,
  36.               strike sharply and return to the HOME position. Keep wrists
  37.               parallel and elbows to your sides.
  38.       e - D-finger (middle-left hand) up to the E-key.
  39.       i - K-finger (middle-right hand) up to the I-key.

  41.   3.  r,u  -  Reach up with the index fingers, strike the key sharply and
  42.               return to the HOME position. Keep the other fingers on the 
  43.               HOME keys.
  44.       r - F-finger (index-left hand) up to the R-key.
  45.       u - J-finger (index-right hand) up to the U-key.

  51.   4.  g,h  -  These are easy. Reach over with the index finger keeping the
  52.               wrists parallel and raised slightly above the keyboard. Keep
  53.               the other fingers on their HOME positions.
  54.       g - F-finger (index-left hand) over to the G-key.
  55.       h - J-finger (index-right hand) over to the H-key.

  57.   5.  t,y  -  These keys are kind of easy also. Reach up with the index fingers
  58.               press sharply and return to the HOME position.
  59.       t - F-finger (index-left hand) up to the T-key.
  60.       y - J-finger (index-right hand) up to the Y-key.

  62.   6.  q,w,o,p  -  These keys are a little more difficult. Reach up with the
  63.                   ring or pinky fingers, strike the key sharply and return
  64.                   to the home position. For w and o try to keep the pinky
  65.                   on or very close to its HOME position.
  66.       q - A-finger (pinky-left hand) up to the Q-key.
  67.       w - S-finger (ring-left hand) up to the W-key.
  68.       0 - L-finger (ring-right hand) up to the O-key.
  69.       p - ;-finger (pinky-right hand) up to the P-key.

  75.   7.  c,v,n  - Reach down and strike the keys sharply then quickly return
  76.                to the HOME position.  Keep the other fingers on or close to the
  77.                HOME position; wrists parallel slightly raised above the key-
  78.                board; elbows down to your sides and back straight.
  79.       c - D-finger (middle-left hand) down to the C-key.
  80.       v - F-finger (index-left hand) down to the V-key.
  81.       n - J-finger (index-right hand) down to the N-key.

  83.   8.  z,x,b,m  -  These keys are difficult (that's why they're last). For z and
  84.                   x keep the F and D-fingers on their HOME positions. When you
  85.                   reach for the b-key keep the asdf-fingers on their HOME
  86.                   positions.
  87.       z - A-finger (pinkey-left hand) down to the Z-key.
  88.       x - S-finger (ring-left hand) down to the X-key.
  89.       b - F-finger (index-left hand) down towards the right to the B-key.
  90.       m - J-finger (index-right hand) down towards the right to the M-key.

  92.   Enter Key - The enter key on the IBM-PC keyboard is a little difficult to
  93.               to reach because of its unique placement.  With the pinky finger
  94.               of the right hand reach way over to the right to press the enter
  95.               key.
